Ingredients
1. 2 cup green gram sprouts
2. 2 tsp groundnut
3. 1 tsp mustard
4. 1/2 tsp zeera
5. 1 pinch asafoetida
6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
7. 4 no. greenchilli
8. 1 tsp salt
9. 1/2 tsp sugar
10. raw onion pieces- 1/2 cup
11. sev - 50 gm
12. coriander
Procedure:
1. Soak green gram overnight and next day morning tie it in a muslin cloth, keep it in a closed vessel for 1 day to allow gram to sprout
2. Heat a thick bottom pan and add oil,mustard,zeera,groundnut,
3. Saute for 5 minutes
4. Add 1 cup of water,red chilli powder, Amchur powder,sugar,salt and mix well
5. Cook it on a low flame for 10 minutes
Serving procedure:
Add 1 cup of usal in a plate, garnish with raw onion, fresh coriander,sev. enjoy it as an evening snack.
